Toyota is feeling the philanthropic love by giving away 100 cars in as many days to charities across the country. The "Toyota: Cars for Good" Facebook app presents a daily contest where fans select an organizations they feel are most worthy to win a free car.
Brought in mid-cycle to lead and “right the ship”, Ted Perez reconstructed and re-engineered the application and user flow. The contest launched on schedule with great success recording 100,000+ voters in the first quarter of the campaign.
Toyota curated the daily match-ups from a pool of 3,800+ applicants. Selections were made to be fair and interesting for all competing charities. Each organization received a PR kit that included press materials, a budget to promote themselves on Facebook and a video camera to produce their profile video to help showcase and explain their goals and how winning a Toyota will help their mission.
